This helicopter tour departs from Sola Airport, and initially we fly towards Stavanger and its port area via Sandnes and Gandsfjord. When passing Stavanger port, we head southeast along the coastline. After flying past the airport, we enter Jæren. It has the largest flatland area on sea level in the country. Jæren ranges from the coastline and many miles inlands, and it stretches from Stavanger and almost 60 km southeast. Unlike the rest of Norway, Jæren has stunning beaches with fine white sand. The first beach you will see from the helicopter is Solastrand, an idyllic white beach. Next are the beaches of Hellestø and Borestrand, Rærens Rev, and Saltebukta. Just outside of Nærbø, the Old Hå Prestegård is passed, followed by the Lighthouse at Obrestaad. Turning inland, the helicopter will provide an excellent view of the towns of Vigrestad and Varhaug. Brusand beach ends the row of sandy beaches and we head northbound at Sirevåg. The return route back to Sola is via Synesvarden. See also Bergen Helicopter Tours and Kristiansand Helicopter Tours
